Biography
Guatemalan mezzo-soprano Nicole Franco Ralón studied at the Germán Alcántara National Conservatory in Guatemala and the Pierre Barbizet Conservatory in Marseille, where she earned her diploma in lyric singing with highest honours while singing in the chorus of the Marseille Opera. A specialist in the baroque repertoire, she sang the Sorceress in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas with the Ensemble Diderot at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and performed Purcell's The Indian Queen and Rameau's Castor et Pollux with Teodor Currentzis's Ensemble Utopia. In 2025 she won third prize at the Béziers International Singing Competition. She joins the Jeune Orchestre Baroque de l'Europe at the Opéra de Montpellier in late 2026.
